Jibspot video requirements

Why the limitation As with any web application, Jibspot operates under bandwidth restrictions.
The larger the media on the site is, the more bandwidth we use.
Also, the larger the media is the longer it takes the user to download.
Most users will not hang around waiting for a large video to load.
And you will lose views, votes and money.

Video dimensions The video diemsions are not a hard and fast rule on the Jibspot site.
In fact, they are not even enforced at upload time.
In order for site integration the videos are displayed at 400 X 350.
In other words, your videos will look better if they match our dimensions as closely as possible.

File size The maximum size we accept is 1mb.
NOTE: this is an absolute maximum.
Some users may still be using a 56k modem, and they may wait 3 days for a 1mb video to download.
Try and keep it under 250kb to be on the safe side.

File type At this stage we only accept wmv files.
The reason being that wmv files are, on average, larger than .mpeg, .mov and .avi.

Video caption The caption (or title) you give your video cannot be stressed enough.
It must be concise, witty and get the reader to watch your video.
