Unbound Super-Duper Pipe opens in Mammoth

Mammoth Mountain, California, is now the only place in the world where snowboarders can find all three sizes of half pipes: Super-Duper, Super, and Mini. Mammoth Mountain can now boast a half pipe for any level of experienced snowboarder. The only question is, how ballsy are you feeling? This park is an industry leader, and it shows upon first sight of all that it has to offer snowboarding enthusiasts. The Super-Duper Pipe is 550 feet long and 58 feet wide vert to vert, with 22 foot walls and 25 feet of transition. Because Mammoth had the third snowiest January in history, the opening of the Pipe was pushed back, but is finally completed and ready to create some big air in the near future. The Super Pipe, located in Main Park, is 450 feet long, has 18 foot walls and 22 feet of transition, while the Mini Pipe, located in Wonderland Park, has 10 foot walls. Wonderland Park is a great entry-level park for tricks like short rail slides, banked turns, rollers and jumps. With its quadruple line of 30 footers, South Park offers all-balls out boarding. Main Park, with the new Quicksilver Signature Feature, offers 40 to 75 feet jumps, leaving plenty of room for numerous aerials and jib tricks. Mammoth Mountain Unbound Terrain Parks are to snowboarders what Disneyland is to kids everywhere. Mammoth offers three parks, three pipes, 64 jibs, and 50 jumps on 90 acres of the best powder in California.
